From Alice Gray – Harvest Supper – Nov. 2010
On Wed 13 Oct members of the congregation enjoyed Harvest supper, good food and fellowship.
Through the donations gathered (£137) we have bought from the charity Send A Cow – an orchard, a fuel saving stove, a key hole garden, 2 tip taps, and 4 chickens.
These will hopefully help poor farmers in Africa have successful harvests in the future.
Grateful thanks to all involved.
Jesus said ‘Feed my lambs’

from The Lodging House Mission – Harvest donations – Nov. 2010
We are continually amazed and delighted at the generosity and willingness of congregations who provide the harvest gifts and those who deliver them.
The gifts enable us to provide a substantial meal to over 100 service users on a daily basis.
We are grateful for your partnership with us through your provisions and monetary donations which allows us to maintain our level of aid to the homeless community in Glasgow.

From the Kirk News Editor – Remembrance Day Service – Nov. 2010
‘Lest we forget’ – ‘We will remember them’
Two phrases that are associated with Sunday 14 November
Remembrance Sunday when we remember those who gave their lives in two world wars.
However we must not look back and remember for the sake of it, but with a view to learning the lessons of the past so that peace can be preserved, remembering that lives are still being lost in wars.
Let us follow Jesus’ commandment, ‘Love one another, just as I love you’.
